Redistricting Plan

This VRA compliant plan creates compact districts while minimizing the number of split counties in the state (only 9 splits compared to 12 at present). It maintains South Carolina's majority minority district (50.1% Black) and creates multiple competitive districts (3 competitive for Democrats). This proposal seeks to reduce the state's many split counties and create a more compact statewide map. Both Charleston and Columbia are split while Hilton Head and Greenville remain unified.
