Redistricting Plan

This is a good government plan that primarily aims to preserve county lines and other political subdivisions. One effect of redrawing lines in pursuit of this goal was reducing the Hispanic population in a formerly majority-Hispanic district (District 8 in the previous plan) to below 50%. However, there remains intact a majority-Black district. The planned districts are reasonably compact and have perfect population equality. Additionally, the map complies with federal and state redistricting laws.
