Colorado gains one district this cycle, bringing its total to eight congressional districts. This plan aims to keep counties together as much as possible while still ensuring population equality and geographic contiguity. Colorado law enumerates several rules for the state's congressional districts, with the qualification that these rules be followed "as much as is reasonably possible." This map attempts to comply with those constraints by keeping counties together and making districts relatively compact.
