Redistricting Principle(s) Prioritized: Good Government
Date: Oct 12, 2021
This Good Government map provides extremely compact districts while simultaneously preserving the core of preexisting districts and maintaining political fairness. This map only splits 2 of 91 counties and 3 of 1,399 voting districts. It keeps 584 cities and towns intact, while only dividing 3. In doing so, it adheres to the Nebraska redistricting criteria, which emphasizes keeping subdivisions whole while prohibiting efforts to advantage or disadvantage political or social groups. It also complies with the principle of one person, one vote and the VRA.
