Redistricting Plan

This map uses partisan data from the 2020 election to attempt to create a Democratic-leaning district in Arkansas, while also minimizing county splits and complying with good government redistricting principles as much as possible. PlanScore gives Democrats an 82% chance of winning District 2, which stretches from Little Rock to the Mississippi Delta. As a consequence of drawing one Democratic district, the remaining 3 districts are all heavily Republican. This map splits only 3 counties, fewer than the 5 counties split by the post-2010 map, and achieves perfect population equality.
